Uganda is currently facing a deep water crisis where 80% of the population are not able to get safe water This has been the status quo for a very long period of time which has led to a wide spread of enormous water-borne diseases and diseases associated with poor sanitation. Regions of eastern, northern, western and central Uganda have been cited as some of the most affected as people in these region share the existing inadequate unsafe water sources with their animals hence worsening the situation.
However Hope worldwide International Uganda has come up with initiatives such as constructing of village bore holes, construction of concrete tanks and sensitization of the public on water treatment methods and construction of valley dams for the animals in a bid to try and solve the crisis. Our target is to have 70% – 80% Ugandan population having safe water. In order to achieve the target we call upon all non-governmental organizations, universities, donors, schools and all governments and partners are welcome to help Ugandans.
