Data is crucial in improving health. The ultimate objective of collecting data is to inform health programme planning as well as policy-making and, ultimately, global health outcomes and equity. A well-functioning health information system empowers decision-makers to manage and lead more effectively by providing useful evidence at the lowest possible cost.
Uganda has an extremely poor medical and healthcare data collection and management system, particularly for public health facilities, this has made research on the health care system quite difficult. There’s a need to have accurate information on the health needs and available services in order to plan properly plan to meet the health requirements of our society.
Hope Worldwide International Uganda is made up of a team of well-trained researchers and is looking to add to this team so our research into the health care needs on health services is accurate. For Hope worldwide International Uganda to effectively manage this, we have to partner with other development agencies to enable us cover many parts of the country. Therefore we call upon our dear core funders and donors, non-governmental organizations and all other partners to join hands with Hope Worldwide International Uganda to carry out research in Uganda.
